The Alfa Laval MOPX 205 is a high-speed centrifugal separator that is used to purify and clarify marine diesel oil on ships. It is also used in marine installations and power stations. The MOPX 205 is a disc-type, self-cleaning separator. It uses centrifugal force to separate liquids from solids. It can separate large volumes of fluids from sludge continuously. 

The MOPX 205 separates sludge, water, and other solid pollutants from marine diesel oil. It can be arranged as a purifier or a clarifier. A purifier separates sludge and water from the oil. Water is continuously discharged from the bowl. 

The sludge accumulated in the sludge space in both a purifier and a clarifies is intermittently discharged.
